So, whaddya all think about fan fiction? I'm curious. A few months ago, TheForce.Net requested stories about the missing scene where Padme and Anakin decided to get married. I wrote a story, but it did not get picked for the online anthology.

It was my first attempt at fan fiction (and only my second attempt at writing anything recently), but what it exposed me to is just how much fan fiction exists out on the Web. There is a LOT of it. Go to FanFiction.Net if you don't believe me.

So, as I know many of the people who frequent this journal are writers, I am curious as to your opinions on fan fiction. Good? Bad? Waste of time? Appropriate hobby? Good practice of writing skills? Comments, please.
