I have to thank you. Not once this semester have you mentioned masturbation in class. Um, thanks for pointing that out. Actually, the student was just contrasting my astronomy lecture with one of his lit classes. I decided that I wanted to give a few easy questions on the astronomy quiz in the Physical Science course I'm teaching. I asked the following question: A neutron star is composed of
The way I figure, "neutrons" is the obvious (and correct!) answer. I'll forgive the students if they choose "hydrogen", because I harped on the whole "most abundant element in the universe"-thing, and "iron" at least is found in the cores of massive stars.
