The Arizona Cardinals beat the San Francisco 49ers today for the first time in 10 years. And I was there to see it, rooting for the 49ers, of course. It was a lovely day, and Greg agreed to be bribed by beer and brats, so off to the game we went. Aw...Greg likes to indulge me, so he probably would have gone even without the bribes.

Here's Greg, appreciating the scene and his iPod, after appreciating the bratwurst.

There was plenty of red in the stands. Of course, both the Cardinals and the 49ers have red as a team color. The crowd was close to 50-50.

There was a really irritating and obnoxious fan directly behind Greg. Greg must really love me to have put up with a game he doesn't like with a fan he wanted to kill right behind him. Not even the iPod could drown out that idiot. But Greg was patient and quietly awaited the end of the game. I unfortunately did not capture the look on his face when he realized, to his horror, that the game was going into overtime.

After some of the worst special teams performances I've ever seen, the Cardinals defeated my beloved 49ers. I turned to Greg for comfort, and this is what I see.

He was screaming, "In your face!" Over and over again. He claims it was because he was happy the game was finally over. I think he's a closet Cardinals fan. :)
