Today is my 33rd birthday. We spent a quiet day with Greg spoiling me in various ways. I received numerous gifts and birthday wishes from family and friends, to which I say "thanks!" And soon I shall have cake!

It was also another lovely gift to see Greg's story "In the Late December" up at Strange Horizons. It's a wonderful Christmas story, so if you haven't read it yet, do it now!

And, this year, my mother didn't give me the "almost too old to have kids" speech.

All in all, a very pleasant birthday.
