The same test that spawned yesterday's entry earned quite a different reaction today. A student hadn't picked up his exam yet, and so while the class was performing an inclass exercise, I brought his test to him. I told him what the average was, and then handed his paper to him (which had a score about 25 points above the average). He looked at the score, looked at me, put his paper down, got up, walked around the table, and threw his arms around me.

Yup...a hug, right in the middle of class. I laughed, patted him on the back gently, and blushed for the rest of the period. The students were pretty amused.

And, he's a good looking student, if I were to notice that sort of thing about students, which I don't, of course. :)

A much better day than yesterday.
