2004-04-14 1:58 AM Random sleeplessness Mood: not tired enough Read/Post Comments (2) |
It's almost 2am, and I have to wake up at 6am. Hmm...not such good planning on my part. Sometimes it is difficult to go to sleep after I teach a night-time lab, but this is a little much for even me. I must say, driving the new car home with the moonroof open and Nine Inch Nails blasting is quite satisfying. I wanted to keep on driving. I'm weary of grading. The stacks of papers are piling up. I'm behind, and it isn't even the nasty part of the semester yet. I guess I could be grading now, but instead I'm listening to "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead over and over again. The strangest part of my day was being interviewed by a reporter for a local newspaper. She's doing an "astronomy for dummies" type article to run next week. I was more than happy to help her out, but she didn't ask very good questions. Is that being really snarky of me? I did my best, though. Many of my colleagues dislike interviews because they are inevitably misquoted. I've decided that I won't even seek out the article. Ooohh...I just yawned. Time to go to bed!
