The Kings eliminated Dallas from the NBA playoffs tonight, and all is right in the world.

I played with a big radioactive rock today. Hear the Geiger counter click! Click through paper! Click through plastic! Click through posterboard! Click through corkboard! Just how radioactive was that damned rock anyways?!

In one of the more audacious moves I've ever witnessed, one of my students came up to me today with a nomination form for "Student of the Year" attached to all of the info I would need to nominate him. He's not a bad student, but he's certainly not my best, and it would never have occurred to me to nominate him. And from the huge stack of papers he had in his hand, I wasn't the only one he was going to ask. Lobbying occurs on all scales, I guess.

My alarm is set to go off in about 5 hours and I teach in 8 hours, so I guess I should go to bed. Good-night!
