Mom would never let me have cupcakes for breakfast, even though she found chocolate poptarts to be acceptable. That always confused me. Today, I had lemon cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for dinner. Yup, that's right. And a mighty fine dinner it was. My mother was gathering with my sister, brother, and two of my three nieces for a Mother's day celebration. They were going to eat turkey, potato salad, caesar salad, rolls, beans, asian noodle salad, parmesan pasta salad, and cake. Hmmm...I think I ate somewhat healthier by merely indulging in cupcakes. My mother also told me what gift she was giving my sister for Mother's Day. "And maybe someday I'll be able to send YOU a gift for Mother's Day." Ah, Mom.
