I have promised my students that I will not grade while watching 49ers games this semester. Good thing, too. Last Sunday, my beloved 49ers did not score in their game against the Seahawks. Lost 31-0!!! The last time the 49ers did not score during a game, I was only six years old!

Of course, with the lame-assed haircut I got yesterday, I look six years old. Sigh.

Is it wrong that I am happy about the rumbling of Mount St. Helens? As a kid, I was obsessed - had a scrapbook of newpaper clippings about the 1980 eruption. I've seen the mountain from Interstate 5, but haven't had a chance to go to the monument. I hope that no one gets hurt, but I so want to see a new eruption.
