I'm free! Finals are over, grades are turned in. The fall semester is finished. And the best part? The kid who attempted suicide last month earned passing grades in both lab and lecture. Yup. He hit rock bottom and still managed to surpass several of his classmates. Here's to hoping this positive trend continues for him.

Greg's recent discussion of his potty mouth reminds me that a student who entered his final exam late explained his tardiness with an apologetic shrug and the phrase, "Parking's fucked." You have to admit, it conveyed the situation concisely.

Two goals for the weekend. One - finish shopping for the family so I can ship the packages on Monday at the latest. Two - watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Sound like doable goals to me.
