Spring Break is next week. Wish me luck in making it that far. Blah. I've been spending less time teaching and more time reading job applications. We had over 150 applications for two faculty positions. Evaluating applications is not fun for me. I don't like rejection, either experiencing it or handing it out. Blah.

A student gave me a cupcake this week. It was lovely - vanilla cake perfectly frosted with chocolate sprinkles on top. I brought it home and shared it with Greg. Ah, life's simple pleasures.

Speaking of cake, happy birthday, Carl! Save one of those cupcakes for me!
