A cliche that I really don't like is when people say "A picture is worth a thousand words".
This puts too much emphasis on the eyes, when the mind is what creates the picture.
Consider the following 6 words, fabled to have been written as "the shortest story every" by Ernest Hemingway.
"For Sale. Baby's shoes. Never worn."
It's hard to imagine a thousand pictures capturing the depth of those sentences.
