2004-06-22 7:23 PM marshmallows, nilla wafers, and deerskin Not a lot to share from over the weekend. We watched The Green Mile which, as always, was quite a good movie. Quite enjoyable. Last night we played Munchkin. I have been sleeping a lot over the past few days. Today I woke up about 6:30 a.m. totally refreshed. I took a half an hour nap later, but this is the most rested I've felt in a while. I also got some good exercising in this morning, first thing. It's been a while since that has happened. Hopefully, this restful time will last so I can get more exercising in. Tomorrow I may take the dog, Katie, for a hike. She'd love it. I will definitely be sore tomorrow, though. I can already feel in in my legs and sides. Whew. But oh, it felt so good. Lots of good eating lately. For Father's Day there was pasta tossed with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and parmesan. Last night we had Thai chicken. It was wonderful -- lime, garlic, curry, coconut milk, freshly roasted red peppers... So good. We also had brown rice and green beans almondine. Tonight there were beef short ribs, more green beans and rice. Gotta use the left-overs sometime, right? There was also some orange cranberry bread pudding in there, as well. Lately Avadore's passion is marshmallows and 'Nilla Wafers. Today is Winter's birthday. He's off playing midget with his woman. I hope they have a good time. Chinese was involved, so how bad could it be? Finally, I'm currently reading Robin McKinley's Deerskin, which is quite wonderful. It takes a hard subject and creates a beautiful story out of it. Rice and I are also listening to Tim Curry read the first of the Lemony Snicket books. We're quite enjoying it. Tim Curry is so perfect... And that's all I have to say about that.
