2005-04-05 11:33 AM doctors and birthdays and writings, oh my I got up late this morning.
I stayed up until 1 a.m. with Rice last night, watching him game. Not necessarily the best way to spend time with one's spouse, but hey -- it works. I had a doc appointment today at 9:15. I woke up at 7:50, which, due to daylight saving's time, my biological clock thought was 6:50. What this means is that because I (a dimwit many days) didn't think to set an alarm, I spent my morning only getting ready and sitting at the doc's. But that's alright -- everything's great with the kid and the countdown is on. 22 days until the kid's born. So I came home, gave Rice the update, talked to Avi for a while, and sent Akanthos a birthday card. After I post this, I'm going to catch up on the news, my regular on-line reading (friends' journals/blogs, the news, etc.), have some lunch and then ... and then there will be more work done on my short story that's coming along quite well, thank you very much. I may even finish it. Wouldn't that be nice? Thanks to Jason Erik Lundberg's comments concerning flash fiction yesterday. Any other comments?
