Electric Grandmother

For a little while I belonged to a really nice online writers group. It didn't last forever due to familial obligations, the changing growth of the writers and other such things, but I think I'll often look back at it as a sweet time.

In the past couple months, a couple of our members have had some great successes. As previously mentioned, Mary Robinette Kowal is making a name for herself, and Jessica Day George caught the attention of Dave Wolverton and has just sold a YA (I believe, maybe a children's book) to Bloomsbury.

Today I emailed the other members of the group to point them over to Mary's story. One of them wrote back commenting that the group was golden. You know, just based on the success of these two authors, I'd have to agree.
