Avadore has discovered Calvin and Hobbes. He's currently checking out Something Under the Bed is Drooling. This is only cute because he's four, but he had a little puddle of drool by the monster's drool on the cover of the book.

And no, Avadore is not normally a drooler. I think he looks at Calvin and sees a soulmate, and his salivary glands can't help themselves.

The light on the stereo that Rice has had for eleven years has burned out. As a result, we can't tell what radio station or CD we're listening to. It's sort of a totally zen experience. As in listening by zen. The radio station the kids just turned on is playing music from the '80's, which are evidently considered oldies now. They keep pointing out the music was made when cell phones were the size of phone books.
