2006-11-30 1:46 PM nanowrimo Over the past few days, it has become increasingly obvious that the novel will only be about half way done at 50,000 words. About the time 50k hits, we will have ended part one, and will be on part two.
Well, now. This is probably a good thing. It's a big story, and shouldn't be stifled, I suppose. So I'll hit 50,000 words (I have less than 1,000 to go right now to hit that goal), but won't have a full novel. That's okay, right? I'm having fun. I like my characters. I keep creeping myself out. (Which is not a good thing to do when one lives alone, with only two young children, a dog, and a cat to protect oneself against the evile beasties hiding in the shadows... And thankfully Winter talked me into bed the other night, bless him. Er, via IM, and into my own bed, not his... That could really be misinterpreted...) So I will certainly keep going. I won't have a 50k novel, but I'll have the first part of one, and I'll have made the 50k goal, so I'll consider it a success. But only if I do finish it.
