2006-12-11 10:46 AM in the psyche There's something weird going on in my head, down deep below the surface.1
I'm working on a short story that stagnated on me twice in the past year, and it feels as if Campbell has finally started to figure some of it. Thursday night I had several images come to me, obviously related to the story, leading me down the story path. So I'm working on it, and it's going pretty well so far, and it's not a bad morning. And I am listening to music, and suddenly this song is there, and the song is part of the story. As in my subconscious clicked and said, "Yes, don't you see? This song and this story have belonged together, you know they do, and you've known it for a long time, you just never realized it. I knew it, but you didn't get it...". I don't know if this makes any sense to anyone else, but it's a weird feeling, a weird experience. But really, really cool. 1 Okay, so maybe weird isn't the right word. But really, it's like an actual sensation. Like a tickle. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
