Electric Grandmother

MySpace is really strange territory.

I've been getting a lot of ... unusual friend requests -- you know, like vodkas, which evidently look like hawt Asian females when anthropomorphized. I also get requests from burlesque shows.

(Deep breath.) In any event, this morning I had a friend request from Dean Koontz. Yes, that Dean Koontz. I don't read a lot of Mr. Koontz, but he did write Odd Thomas, and I quite like that book, so I said he could be my friend. *

I will never meet this man, or have a nice conversation with him, or drink hawt Asian vodka with him, and yet I have his picture over at my page, along with some of my IRL best friends, a music festival, a local Chinese restaurant, and several bands (which are, in general, another story).

*Of course, it's not really Mr. Koontz over there, but the thought of him hanging out at MySpace still gives me a chuckle.
