2007-08-07 10:44 AM plugs I haven't done a lot of plugs lately, and in some respects I suspect I've been remiss in this. So we're going to plug away this morning.
First of all, there's Small Beer Press, which publishes fine books, chapbooks, and Lady Churchill's Rosebud (though occasionally Robot) Wristlet. And when you order from them they occasionally include cool things like postcards, and sometimes, out of the blue, they just mail you books you haven't ordered, but they like so maybe you will, too. (You probably will. They publish cool stuff.) If nothing else, I suggest running over and digging up their free download of Kelly Link's Stranger Things Happen. It's a great book. After you read it, you may even want a hard copy. Strange Horizons is currently in the middle of a fund drive. They publish new fiction and poetry and articles every Monday, and reviews every day, Monday through Thursday. All of the reading material is free; their fund drives are how they pay their writers. They publish fine stuff, and could use your mocha money for the day, if you have any lying around. Also, if you donate you are entered to win some great prizes! Finally, I have received my copy of Say... what's the combination? It's full of some cool, entertaining stuff by some great writers. Weird stuff, fun stuff, touching stuff, wild stuff -- it's all here. More real content coming soon. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
