2006-01-24 4:23 PM The bird flu. I'm watching Oprah as I get ready to head off to computer science. Some man, an important one, is talking about the bird flu and how we won't be prepared and even the grace of God won't save us. There won't be enough vaccines. The world economy will shut down. The only thing to top this would be nuclear war. I kind of just want to tell everyone to shut the hell up. I'd like to believe that this is all a hoax, that everyone is making a big deal over nothing, but then again, this whole pandemic thing has happened before. Maybe there is no sense worrying about this. One day it might happen just like the levees broke in New Orleans and we went down there and cleaned things up and didn't understand the gravity of total devastation. Maybe it will never explode into global genocide and no one will ever speak of it again. As of now, what can we do? Nothing. All I can do is listen to my iPod and study for my tests and plan spring break. That is all.
