Well, I'm Between Classes right now - just finished a Business Writing class and am getting ready for a FY comp class that starts in 15 minutes.
I just wanted to post a quick message saying how much I love the feeling of finishing class . . . in many ways, teaching is a performance, and although it has to become fairly routine or I'd go nuts, it still retains the characteristics of any other kind of performance. I get great satisfaction from organizing blocks of time so that people get stuff done, hopefully useful stuff. My favorite class right now is my Tuesday business writing class because 3 hours is a big block to organize, and it only comes around once a week . . . The next class today is going to be a little thin, I know: We did these same activities in my class yesterday, and even figuring in the 15 minutes for Technical Difficulties, we still had 15 minutes left over. That'll leave me 30 minutes short today, unless I punt . . . and I haven't been thinking carefully enough about punting . . . Ah, well. I can't add "being late" to the time-fillers, so I better get going . . . Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
