I think of that song as the "1634 Chestnut Street Anthem." That was the house where I was born and lived until I was about six, at some time during which time that song was popular. I'm sure I remember it because, according to my limited experience, summer really did involve soda, pretzels, and beer . . .

At any rate, it's pretty well all over here but the shouting. I have grades all calculated; I'm waiting for a few stragglers to turn things in and will enter the grades online tomorrow morning. Tomorrow's a free day (although I have two presentations to prepare - minimally - for later in the week). Tuesday through Friday I have meetings, culminating in the graduation ceremony on Friday night. And then, I'm done.

Already the weekend has felt like a normal-people weekend: I can imagine how it will be to have unstructured time again . . . and soon after that, to relax into the lack of structure . . . Oooh, boy. I can't wait.
