Just an update to my previous entry: After writing it, I did manage to rally myself in the heat, and [a] I cut the collar and sleeves off the first t-shirt and pinned the neckline; [b] I went to the pool, where I swam laps and wrote a quiz for the first chapter in the Bizcomm book (which will put me only slightly behind for the day - I want to get them all done by Friday, which means an average of 2 a day); and I had my first guitar lesson.

I was supposed to have it tomorrow, but when I called to see if I could reschedule (the tentative plan is that Charlie and I are going to go tubing tomorrow, should the weather cooperate - it's looking iffy, alas), it turned out that they hadn't really signed me up for lessons at all. Good thing I called today! I'd have been really disappointed if I'd shown up tomorrow and discovered the wires had been crossed . . . At any rate, I was able to schedule times on Monday, which will be much better once school starts (Tuesday and Thursday are my long teaching days; I'd be going directly from school to my lesson, which would make for a late dinner), and I have lots of things to practice between now and next week. Yay!

And it's so blinkety-blink hot here that the pool is going to remain open for an extra hour, so I can even go back now if I want . . . which I think I just might do, if only to demonstrate my support for the longer hours policy.
