2006-02-12 12:22 PM Hey, it's good to be back home again Read/Post Comments (2) |
Well, it's Sunday . . . a normal Sunday; Emil made us bacon and eggs for breakfast, and I went and got the papers. On a whim, I got a Chicago Tribune, and after reading it, I've realized it's a wonderful, old-school newspaper. They actually have foreign correspondents in Europe and Mexico, and the bulk of the articles are written by staff writers rather than being picked up off a wire service. This makes a big difference in the tone of the paper!
So I'm thinking maybe we'll buy the Trib instead of the New York Times on Sunday. I get the New York Times online, so buying the paper version seems like kind of a waste . . . Anyhow. Now I'm sitting in the sunroom, listening to Rachmaninoff's Vespers and am about to turn my attention to my classes. It's nice to feel back to normal.
