Things are looking up around here. Last weekend, I seemed to have caught a stomach bug, which has kept me low-level miserable all week, and I've been having spring allergy problems, which have been exacerbated by lack of exercise . . . But today my stomach feels fine (finally!) and Emil just moved the exercise bike into the sunroom so I can pedal and look out at the greening yard. (I'm trying not to let myself be driven crazy by the fact that the weather is gorgeous, but this toe is preventing me from getting out in it in the way I would like . . . )
I'm also trying not to be discouraged about the teaching right now. It's a tough time of the semester even when the students are f2f, but the fact that everyone's online is introducing some unpleasant new wrinkles to the panic. Ah, well. In a few weeks, the semester will be past. And there are some truly delightful people in these classes . . . I'm going to concentrate my energies on them. Which is what I better go do . . .
