Well, it's spring break, and as usual, I'm not getting nearly as much done as I thought I would. Actually, I'm getting so pathetically little done that it's distressing to think about . . . I made one trip to Ann Arbor on Monday and got a whole bunch of stuff (as much as I could squeeze into the Hyundai), but then I didn't go again yesterday (as I had initially planned to do). Instead, I stayed home, had coffee with Louise, and put the stuff I'd brought back away (inasmuch as that's possible - we are in severe need of bookshelves).

My big accomplishment so far is that I've finished my own personal Moebius scarf:

The colors are better in person; what can I say? I love the fact that this scarf is long and wide enough to be a nifty scarf all on its own, but then it turns into this very warm hat . . .

And now I've started on a pentagon:

Stay tuned.

The tulips continue to be resplendent, even though they're past their prime:

Louise says to fertilize them now, to prepare them for going in the ground some time later this summer/fall. So one of my (many) tasks for today is to get some fertilizer for them.

But I've told myself I can't leave the house until, at minimum, I get things set for my classes next week . . . On Friday I leave for Chicago (and the opera!), and I have to be all set with schoolwork or I'll have a less-than-optimum weekend, which is not my desire at all . . .

More when the dust settles.
