This little sockie (being knit on size 3 needles with that ball of sock yarn dyed by Susie at Perchance to Knit) is too big:

That's a modified version of the Entrelac sock pattern in Socks, Socks, Socks. I wanted to do Entrelac here because if you look at the toe, you can see that the sock kind of looks lavender overall, with pink and turquoise highlights. Entrelac (the part nearest the needle) will bring out the highlights (because the yarn "pools" so that pink stitches appear in consecutive rows, and turquoise stitches appear in consecutive rows) - but it's a PITA to knit, and I just want some spring socks, so I'm teaching myself to think of them as basically being lavender. Easier to change my mind than knit that pattern . . .

And this little sockie is too small:

It's a re-purposing of the Palindrome Scarf pattern that I made for Emil, knit on size 1 needles with the same Jojoland Melody Superwash I used on Steph's shawl. I really like this pattern, and I really like this yarn. (I hope it wears well for socks; the plying got a little wonky in places, as I recall.) But it must be frogged.

My current plan: To knit the Palindrome socks on the size 3 needles, and go back to the original Primavera pattern with the lavender stuff - and knit them on size 1 needles.

I hope this works . . .
