First and foremost is Caroline. Caroline brings the niece total to three. I'm planning on taking over the world with all of my nieces and nephews. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

My family reunion in August is a definite highlight especially in light of recent events. I had a great time just hanging around with my extended and immediate family.

There were also a couple of mini-reunions of sorts down in Houston to celebrate Mary Ann's ordination as well as my sister Holly's birthday. Both events were really fun. As is always the case, my family is a gift that keeps on giving...

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that over the summer I got to see my two best friends Eric and Drew within a 3 week time period. I stopped by Drew's house en route to my family reunion. We caught up on old times and talked the night away. A few weeks later, my friend Eric stopped by my house on his way to California. Texas was really out of his way, but he made the trek through Tejas anyway. Like my reunion with Drew, we spent the night catching up and talking the night away. Friends have always been the icing on my already sweet cake.

It's only October, there are more highlights to come.
