One by one, counties in each of these states have declared that they are going to give wedding certificates to ALL people regardless of sexual orientation. And I say, what took them so long? Why is this such a big issue? If two people love each other, than they should be able to get married. Period. Goodnight. Baby goes to sleep.

But of course, the states are going to say that these marriage licenses are illegal, at which point the people who have these marriage licenses are going to sue the states who declared such actions illegal. From a completely common sense stand point, I see no way that the Supreme Court would rule in favor of the states. But we all know that these are very closed minded times.

Time will tell, but I think that those who oppose this action are on the wrong side of history. I liken people who oppose this action to people who supported segregation. History has proven them to be wrong, and I think that this is going to be the case again, whether or not marriages or civil unions become common practice in today's United States.
