Important Questions:

1) Is he starting too late?

2) Does he have the support he had from 2000. My guess is no.

3) Without being on the Green ticket, will he have the organizational ability to pull off a successful election campaign?

4) Does he realistically think that the 100 Million turned off voters share his ideology? Does he realistically think that he can turn on 100 Million turned off voters?

5) Just what is "the liberal intelligentsia" that he was referring to? I'd understand his argument if it was just "Salon.com" and "The Nation" that didn't support his 2004 campaign, but a lot of the people asking him not to run are people just like me, and Johnny and Susie Q Public.

6) Does he honestly believe that the Republicans get a "D-" and the Democrats get a "D+"? Knowing what we know about this administration, can he realistically say that? And what about the difference in constituents? Do Democratic supporters and voters get a "D+", because they're the ones out there doing the dirty work everyday.

7) Is running for President of the United States in one of the biggest and most crucial elections of the past 50 years, really the best way to bring about social change, as well as changing the corporate based atmosphere of Washington? Is that really the most constructive way to bring about his vision?

8) It takes signatures to get on to state ballots. How is he going to be able to get on enough state ballots to make a difference. And if he doesn't get on enough state ballots, will he withdraw from the race?

9) Per the question above, how will he be able to account for Republicans signing the petitions to get him onto the state ballots? It's a serious question that he must answer. We've all heard the stories about how Karl Rove and his political machinery helped not only fund Nader's 2000 campaign, but also helped him get onto as many state ballots as reasonably possible?

10) The most serious question I can think of, is how come Republicans are salivating right now? And how come Democrats have that all too familiar 2000 election sinking feeling happening again? It's a serious question that I think needs to be answered.

-geek alert- :-)
When asked by Luke Skywalker if he should go help his friends on Bespin, Yoda answered that he should not. That if he "honored what they fought for," that he should work on his training so that he could go into battle as a Jedi. I think that here, Nader should find a different way to help bring about social change. Because if Bush gets elected again (ESPECIALLY if Nader draws enough votes to swing a state again) then he may end up doing a diservice to all that he's fought for, and all that his supporters (and Democrat supporters) continue to fight for.
