Today in film class we discussed experimental and avant garde cinema. After our discussion we watched 3 experimental films by Maya Deren, and 3 experimental films by Kenneth Anger. I really hadn't seen many experimental films before today, but I can honestly say now that my curiosity is piqued. I LOVE avant garde and surreal type of art. Usually, the more weird and out there it is, the more I'm going to be into it.
As cool as the movies were however, I now know why Sprockets on SNL was such a funny bit.
Looking through my grades, and seeing that I'm doing pretty A-OK in my astronomy class, I am going to spend the next hour and a half outside enjoying the nice weather. Springlike weather is officially here, and I'm going to enjoy all two days of it. :-)
