Democrats Unite

Dennis Kucinich has just thrown his support behind John Kerry. It's going to be interesting hearing Dennis Kucinich speak at the Democratic National Convention next week. He's the one Democrat that shares most of my beliefs and am glad that he's in the party.

As I was reading the announcement, it finally dawned on me that the best way for the Democrats to combat Ralph Nader is to get Dennis Kucinich out there speaking to the people who follow Nader and Kucinich. If he's able to convince them that the Democratic party (as flawed as it is) is their party, and that there are people within the party that hold onto their beliefs, then maybe the Democratic party is worth saving after all.

I've come to the realization that at this point, the best way to fix the Democratic Party is from the inside out. It may be a slow process, but I can already see a change taking place. Look at Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich for proof of that.
