And it was pretty damn incredible. (get used to seeing that line in reviews for weeks to come).

This movie takes Pixar into a whole other level. Whereas Pixar used to be a studio that made movies for a specific audience in mind, this is the first movie that breaks through that boundary. It's an actual legit movie.

For those of you with kids, this isn't "Toy Story" or "Monsters Inc." This movie is pretty dark at times. This movie dealt with subject matter that "Toy Story" and "A Bugs Life" wouldn't dare touch. People die (usually offscreen), there is an implied sex scene (that only parents will pick up on), and there is a sense of immediate danger throughout the movie. I'd say that Jessie and Joey are definitely old enough to like the movie, but I do have pretty loose views on how old kids need to be to see PG rated movies so take that endorsement with a grain of salt.

But yeah, "The Incredibles" is pretty kick ass. It's not only a great animated movie, but just a great all around movie. I'll probably write a full-on review at a later time, but just wanted to say that I was pretty blown away.
