I hate it when people use anecdotal evidence to support a belief they have about social issues. Being a Sociology major, although I would hope that all majors would support this way of thinking, I like to look at societal trends when making an argument. It's hard to argue against facts.

You know, it's great that your wife earns as much as the other men in her office, but that doesn't mean that a pay gap doesn't exist anymore.

We were talking about health education in my "Medical Sociology" class today, and someone mentioned watching a presentation about the human body while they were in high school. I suddenly, had this image in my head of this man that used to come on television, who wore skin tight clothes, with all of the organs and muscles on the body printed on the outside. I don't know if I made that up, or if there really was a guy like that sometime on television.

That segued into a random memory of this guy that used to come on "3-2-1 Contact," who had toilet paper roles all over his black tights. Weird stuff.

I finished Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" the other day. It may be one of the quickest and easiest reads I've ever had. I'd always been interested in reading it, but I can't say that the upcoming movie didn't have an impact on me reading it. I think it's going to make for a fun movie, and I can't wait to see how they adapt it.

It's hard to see how they're going to make a 2 hour movie out of what's in the book. Time will tell.

I've been reading more. I realized that my movies seen list DWARFED my books read list of last year. So I'm going to remedy that this year. We'll see how long that holds up. :-)

That is all.
