For those of you who have kids, or plan on having kids, or want to speculate what you'd do if you had kids...
If/when you show your kids the Star Wars movies, as every parent should ;-), do you plan on showing them in their release order, or by chapter order? I'm just curious, because the order that you tell them will alter the story that they get. If you watch the original movies, it's about the spirit of youth, and is essentially Luke Skywalker's story. If you watch the prequel movies first, then the SW movies are almost entirely about Anakin's rise and fall and ultimate rise again. I'm just curious. Oh yeah. I was reading a SW message board the other day, and the same questions was asked. Someone said that they plan on showing them Episodes IV, V, then going back and watching I, II, and III, and then winding up with VI. It'd be like, here are the central characters, here's the set up with the father revelation, then going back and seeing how Vader got to that point, then winding it all up with Vader's redemption. I thought that was interesting. matt out Read/Post Comments (11) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
