The Astros were ONE damn strike away from making the World Series. ONE damn strike. ONE!

And they flippin' blew it. They blew it. The series now switches to St. Louis. Even though the Astros still lead the series 3-2, tonight's game was a demoralizer. I predict the Cardinals to easily win the next two games and advance to the World Series.

This is just so friggin typical of a Houston team. The 1981 Astros were 5 outs from going to the World Series and choked. The 1986 Astros took a game to 18 innings before losing to the Mets.

And now, this! Choke City has returned. And here I am, once again staring down another Houston choke.

Screw this. I'm not watching another game of this series. I'm just so flipped out and frustrated right now. I'm through. The Astros have let me down too many damn times for me to watch another game. Consider my faith in that team shattered. It's gone.

My faith in that team is gone. It's been ruined by too many years of close but no cigar games. The only way that team can reclaim my allegiance is to make it to the World Series. Anything short of that is just old hat with the Astros and I'm sick and tired of it.
