Wow, a post that isn't related to movies or pop culture minutiae.

Just thought I'd take a moment to give you all an update on what's going on in Matt World.

I've been applying to all kinds of jobs. I've applied with the Austin ISD, the Texas Council on Family Violence, Austin Community College, the University of Texas, etc. So far, no call backs, but it's only been about a day or so since I applied. I need to institute a nuclear day, where I'll go apply anywhere and everywhere if I haven't gotten any significant leads in the job hunt. But hopefully, one of these places will call me back.

Anya and I celebrate our fourth Anniversary this weekend. Wow. A lot has happend in these 4 years. I'm glad to say that she's the most loving partner I can imagine having. I think I'd be lost without her. We dont' have concrete plans or anything, but we plan on hitting up Gruene Texas and seeing all there is to see (and eat) there. If the mood suits us, we're also contemplating a trip to Schlitterbahn. Nothing beats a nice trip down the lazy river.

So yeah, that's about it. I have to take a typing test today, and hopefully will catch Pixar's "Cars" after that. Should be a good weekend.
