Dear Daughter,
You are off the charts. At birth, your head size was off the charts for newborns. You were born with the head size of a ten pound baby. At birth, your height was in the 95th percentile at birth. In the month you've been here, you've grown 3 and 3/4 inches in height, which probably explains why you've been eating like a fiend. In your first two weeks here, you gained 2.5 ounces a day. A typical weight gain is 1 ounce a day. You're cooing at the inanimate objects, which is something that usually comes somewhere between month 2 and 3. You rolled over (once) from your tummy to your back yesterday. You also are quite good at holding your head up, as big as it is. Oh, and you said "Mommy and Daddy, bring me a cup of Joe." That *really* freaked us out. Things you really enjoy: - Staring at the ceiling fan. - Sighing after your poops. - Taking a bath with mommy. You like to push off the side of the tub and float to mommy. You can do this for hours. - Fuss until Mommy gives you a boob. Only sometimes, you don't eat. You just get the boob in your mouth in smile. Yeah, you know. You have us trained. - Staring at the Christmas tree. - You LOVE kicking. When you're awake, you're kicking anything and everything. - Burping. Things you really hate: - Tummy time. - Gas. - Gas. - Gas. - Gas. - Getting out of the bath tub. - Traffic jams. You don't like being in your car seat when the car is stopped. You require CONSTANT moving, car or no car. When we're in the apartment, you usually fuss until we start carrying you around the apartment. - Switcheroo. If Mommy's holding you, you want Mommy to hold you. If Daddy's holding you, you want Daddy to hold you. You don't enjoy any of the switching of arms. - The velcro sound. More to come later. Love you, Daddy GO ASTROS!!! Carrying on the McKibben Helmet Photo tradition. Cutenesssssssssssssss!!! Oh, Tannenbaum. Fussy Time. Arty MySpace style shot. Another MySpace style photo. Cute Teddy Bear. Uncle Kuke. Is there ever a more comfortable place to sleep? Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
