So Anya and I started Parker on solids the other night with some sweet potatoes. She made all kinds of faces and spat out most of what was in her mouth. So we tried again the following day with a different kind of sweet potato and had pretty much the same reaction.

So we decided to go ahead and try giving her some avocado the other night while we were at a Tex Mex restaurant and sure enough, she took right to it. She *loves* avocado. We gave her some more today and she ate it all up. We're going to try sweet potatoes again soon, but it's good to know that her first food is basically a Tex Mex favorite. Someday in a few months, we'll have to give her some guacamole and blow her mind.
