I read on Luke's blog earlier that Stan Winston died. He's one of those guys that the average person doesn't know much about but should. His creature/special effects/make-up work in film is legendary.

He worked on everything from the make-up in both Terminator movies to the make-up in the "Thriller" video. He helped create the aliens in both "Predator" and "Aliens." He helped bring dinosaurs back to life in "Jurassic Park" and turned the Terminator into a walking robot.

I always liked that he stayed true to form in the CGI world we live in. His creature work always looked real and were often times better than anything the CGI people could come up with.
