Luke started the "Krunk List" before the re-re-re-re-release of the newly updated and improved upon Star Wars movies. With the new Bond movie coming out today, I thought I'd take a shot at that voyeuristic gun barrel that is the James Bond franchise.

James Bond Songs

Dr. No - It really doesn't get any better than the twangy guitar and that jazzy James Bond theme. Classic. Set the tone for the entire franchise.

Goldfinger - by Shirley Bassey - from Goldfinger - The quintessential James Bond theme song. Shirley Bassey really belts it out. I also like they periodically intertwine the Bond theme into this song. It's also the most Austin Powersesque theme song of the entire series.

Thunderball - by Tom Jones - from Thunderball - Wait, this is very Austin Powersesque as well. Tom Jones screams schmalts better than anyone.

We Have All the Time in the World - by Louis Armstrong - from On Her Majesty's Secret Service - This is the best song they've ever had in a James Bond movie. It's not a great James Bond song per se, but as a song, it's a classic. I love it.

Nobody Does it Better -by Carly Simon - from The Spy Who Loved Me - Like "We Have all the Time in the World," a great song, but not a great James Bond song. Radiohead does a killer version of this song.

Live and Let Die - by the lead singer of Wings - from Live and Let Die - Both a great song and a great James Bond song. But it's also kinda cheesy. What's a Beatle doing a James Bond song for?

For Your Eyes Only - by Sheena E - from For Your Eyes Only - Not good for your ears or eyes or any other sensory receptor. By far the worst James Bond song of all time.

The Living Daylights by a-Ha and A View to a Kill by Duran Duran - from The Living Daylights and A View to a Kill - Throwaway 80's crap songs for two throwaway 80's crap movies.

Goldeneye - by Tina Turner - You can tell they were trying to bring James Bond back to his roots and were trying for a throwback vibe by bringing in Tina Turner, but this song is flat. Just not very good. I can't believe Bono and the Edge wrote this song. I bet they laughed all the way to the bank though.

Tomorrow Never Dies - by Sheryl Crow - from Tomorrow Never Dies - There are actually two Tomorrow Never Dies songs in the movie. One sung by Sheryl Crow over the opening credits, the other by KD Lang over the end credits. For the record, KD Lang = worthy of singing about James Bond, Sheryl Crow = not worthy to sing about anything. Can she please retire????

Die Another Die - by Madonna - from Die Another Day - .... hmmm .... next. Can Madonna retire too? Please?

Another Way to Die - by Jack White and Alicia Keys - from Quantum of Solace - I know that some people hate this song, but I actually really like this song. It fits both as a James Bond song and as a stand alone song.
