* Free wireless at the Charlotte airport. :-)
* Kiwi gelato. * BEMF was outstanding. Psyché was sparkly and sumptuous -- one of my suitemates went to see it twice, she liked it so much. Went to several other concerts, 1 1/3 masterclasses, and a dance workshop. Yearned after harpsichords. * Caught the miniature book display at Boston Public Library, as well as an exhibit on Alexandre Vattemare. Most entertaining detail from the exhibit: Vattemare got kicked out of med school because he couldn't resist using ventriloquism to make the corpses in the dissection room talk to his fellow students. * Bubble tea at Tealuxe. Duck confit and bean salad at Om. Cappucinos at Ciao Bella. Tapas at Tapeo, including lemony anchovies, spicy rabbit, mushroom-zucchini cups, manchego cheese, and asparagus. Fried clams at Legal. And other fine meals, some alone and some with stimulating company... * Sitting on the bridge of the Boston Public Garden, listening to an accordion player. I also slept a lot (although it still wasn't enough). I wish I'd had the energy to connect with more people, attend more events, get more writing/reading done, etc., but there will be other trips. And I'm just a few hours away from my own bed, and that's one of the best things of all. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
