I suddenly have two unsolicited deadlines I didn't have thirty-six hours ago. This is fine: income is good. That slight sigh you hear underneath the rejoicing is me being twelve years old and wanting just to burrow underneath an afghan with a stack of manga and a mug of hot chocolate.
However, I am chiselling away at the To Do List: a comforter has been laundered, a report has been filed, a submission has been sent, a phone call has been returned, a present has been picked up, and nine pounds of carrots (=24 cups) have been transformed into Middle Eastern Carrot Salad:
(And I also picked up a bunch of boxes at the wine store down the street -- I figure a combination of cardboard and towels should keep the dishes stable as I shlep them to church.)
And now I've got two batches of kasha to cook. Onwards!
