Things my car has shlepped in the past twenty-four hours:
* a pan of creamed corn, a pan of salad, and a box full of oranges, apples, donuts, and sausage-biscuit packs (for Room in the Inn) * a bucket full of "Freedom" roses and gypsum (for tomorrow's flowers at church) Things currently eluding me: * time and clutter management * volumes 4 through 7 of the French edition of FAKE * a high G * the next sentence of the fic I'm currently wrestling with Contributor's copies I received in this week's mail: * Books and Beyond: The Greenwood Encyclopedia of New American Reading (I wrote the entries on biography, children's literature, romance novels, and self-help) * Big Sky, Big Hair: the Best of the Texas Poetry Calendar's First Decade. The editors chose to include two of my poems in it. Happy things: * the weather today. 57 F of sunny perfection. * trying a deep-fried brownie at Sambuca. Very interesting texture, that. * being treated to a perfectly tossed salad and a "Radius Maximus" (Hendricks, pomegranate juice, lime juice, and lavendar syrup) at Radius 10 (one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville, and the general manager's a fantastic woman who's also active at First UU) * gonna make inroads on the in-boxes, in a minute * comfy sweaters and good coffee Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
