The drinks I ordered: Highland Cooler Corpse Reviver East India (yummiest of the lot) Rum Swizzle The drinks I sampled: Airmail Vieux Carre London Buck (with house-made ginger beer in a Mason jar) Peach Julep Hijack Rose Straits Sling Jenever Holland House King Cole Negroni The drink I intend to try next time I visit: Warsaw Mule Before we went, I'd made polenta and chicken with orange-vermouth-shallot sauce for dinner. At the bar, we had cups of gumbo and slices of walnut bread. There will be salads offered there as well. One of the staff members was sewing curtains in one of the booths-to-be, and we got a tour of the triple-filtered ice machine and other accoutrements. Good times.] (* For some reason, tall Dutchmen seem to enjoy lifting me off my feet and giving me gigantic bear hugs. I can't say I mind. *g*) Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
