I hadn't planned on snapping photos during my walk today, but the flowering tree at the corner was beautiful, and then there was a magnolia with such luscious petals several blocks later, and my brain was unknotting itself from its must-do lists and snatches of Chess in Concert and not-yet-solidified poems-in-progress... ...and then I remembered Lori-Lyn's 8 Things Observed By Me post from last week, and my brain happily decided to wheel along in that groove for a while. Which I meant that I paid extra attention to: 1. A patient doggie: 2. A multicolored fire hydrant: 3. The illustrations on a local bbq joint: 4. The things on the dashboards of parked cars, such as this child's painting: Several streets away, on another dashboard, there was a program for the funeral of a young man. :-( 5. Monsieur Snake, chilling out on the corner of a driveway:
6. A man walking his dog looking at me strangely after I stood back up (since he couldn't see the snake from across the street, I guess - I probably looked like I was photographing the sidewalk for no reason at all). 7. A lost purple glove that seems to have taken up semi-permanent residence on a nearby wall:
8. A kid at the library wearing an All-State Band t-shirt. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
