There are people I'm missing, things I should be thinging, a computer keyboard I've come near to throwing across the kitchen, etc., but it's still a glorrrrrrrrrrious morning.
Waking up at 5:30 am means I've been up for three hours, during which I chatted with a friend in Prague and an aunt in Taipei; wrote a handful of e-mails; scrambled some eggs with chopped shallots; looked up directions to tonight's cocktail gathering; updated a spreadsheet. There was a monster of an electrical storm here last night -- the power went out in the house three times. This may be the day I get around to reading the manual for the oven, since I need to reset its date/time settings. But that will have to wait until I'm done with today's billable work, which in turn will wait until I'm done with my mug of tea, which I'm lingering over because it's a beautiful morning: sun's shining, birds are chirping, and I've got Carlo Grossi's cantata on the stereo -- a baroque Jewish piece whose choruses include, Author of splendid and unfathomable works, You whose grace makes the light shine...
