I'm going to VP!

I wonder if I already qualify for the title of the World’s Worst Blogger. I can never make myself do it. Always something more important to do. Anyway. I got accepted to VP. And I’m very happy about it. I’ve revised the first two chapters of Slant to be workshopped. I hope to have the third discussed there too. Otherwise I don’t know what to expect (sigh). Still, I’m determined that it will be helpful. I don’t know how, but it will.

Another development is that I’m fed up with shorts. Just can’t sell anything. And I’m sure it’s not simply my writing. Seems I can’t produce interesting enough topics. Got a few rejections with “good writing but this or other.” Maybe I should really focus on novels. Given it takes me about as long to polish a short as to write the first draft, that seems to show which sits better with me.

In other news--I’ve got a job. Which is partly good, because I needed the money, and partly bad because it makes me more tired that it’s worth time-wise and it usually breaks my day so much I can’t make full use of the rest of it. I guess I’ll have to get used to schedule writing/reading and husband around somehow.

Oh, and I’m going to Torcon. Should be fun. It’s going to be my first WorldCon, so I’m bracing myself....
