All-righty then, got 2002 all wrapped up now, at last.

Well, mostly. Finished up my nomination ballot for the Hugos, hated having to actually write in my nominations, but it's done. And at the same time, I did the Locus Poll, which was nice in that it was online, but annoying as HELL in that it gave only a limited option of stories and novels to choose from. I know, I know, they couldn't have entered in all the stories and books from last year, but the stuff listed in their drop-down menu definitely gets preferential treatment. Too bad they couldn't tie that into a database or something.

For anyone doing the Hugo ballot, I recommend you go to the Campbell Award site and do a little research on the new writers there. Please don't leave that space blank! I was a new writer once, too, and I want you to find 5 folks on that list who you think deserve some attention, and a nomination. Read their stuff, first, of course!

Whew. That's enough looking backwards, now. That was why I was putting together my list of best stories from last year, by the way -- in preparation for voting in these various polls and awards.

And I'm still waiting for other folks to post their lists! Come on people! Click on that Comment link and paste away. I know of at least one person working on her list (I think...). Don't get left in the dust! (How was that for peer pressure?)
